Listening to Our Inner Wisdom: Dream Circle
-
A dream circle is a gathering of people interested in dreams and learning from them. Participants share their dreams and help each other make interpretations of them.
A dream circle is an ideal place to begin dream work, because it provides support in remembering dreams, a sense of community and connection, practice at viewing dreams symbolically and interpreting them, and insight into dynamics playing out in one’s interior lives. If it feels right for you at this particular time of your life's journey, the experience of paying attention to, sharing, and interpreting dreams can be uniquely rewarding.
-
Throughout human history, cultures and civilizations all over the world have believed that dreams contain valuable lessons and wisdom for life’s journey. Many traditions share the belief that they are messages from our deepest and truest Self, using symbols to provide insight that our conscious minds are unaware of. Once interpreted and embodied, therefore, the lessons gleaned from our dreams begin to lead us toward greater awareness, growth, and alignment with our values and passion.
Whether we remember them or not, most of us dream every single night. This means that an immensely valuable tool for growth and transformation has been hiding in plain sight, within each of us, and that we don’t need to seek it externally. Perhaps it’s no surprise, then, that they are largely viewed as meaningless in our contemporary, late capitalist world; they aren’t material products that can be sold for a profit.
-
This circle is open to anyone with curiosity about dreams and a willingness to explore and integrate hidden or unconscious parts of themselves. It will provide participants with theories of dream analysis as well as a simple process to interpret the symbolism of one's own dreams. Meetings will include a mix of dream interpretation methodologies and activities, somatic exercises, journaling and, especially, group sharing of dreams.
Space is limited to 9 participants.
-
We will meet online via Zoom Thursdays at 7-9pm Eastern time between April 17th and May 22nd (six meetings). After signing up, participants will receive a link with the meeting information.

I invite participants to choose the amount they are willing and able to pay using a sliding scale.* The suggested pricing is as follows.
Accessible: $80
Fair Access: $120
Supporter: $160
If none of the price tiers work for you, please reach out to me individually and I’ll be happy to accommodate.
*I use a sliding scale pricing model because of my firm belief that all people are worthy of access to healing and transformation work, regardless of their ability to pay for it. Those who are in a position to are asked to pay more, whether because they have access to generational wealth, have benefited from historic privilege and advantages, or out of a commitment to economic justice. This allows those who would otherwise lack access to pay less. In short, each person contributing the right about for them helps meet the needs of the whole. You can find more information about sliding scale pricing at the website "Embracing Equity.”

Makes sense. I invite you to take the necessary time to discern whether it is right for you at this time. To help with that, I will be offering a free “sneak-peek” dream interpretation workshop for those who would like to learn more about what the circle will look like. This will be held @7pm ET on Thursday, April 10th, one week before the class begins. If you would like to attend to get an idea of what the circle will look like, please sign up here. You’re also welcome to reach out to me directly with any questions.

Part of the reason behind today’s polarization and move toward authoritarianism is because of our collective unwillingness and/or inability to face our shadow, both personally and collectively. Dream work is the most direct way to begin integrating the parts of ourselves we have denied and exiled, so that we may do the same with those around us, thereby beginning the work of building a more just and inclusive world.
Buried Wisdom facilitates groups ranging from embodied book clubs, men’s groups for vulnerability and healing from patriarchy, and Dream Circles. Join the Buried Wisdom mailing list to receive updates about future events and offerings.
“The delusion of perpetual ‘happiness’ is one of many traps that mainstream culture leads us into. I don’t wish to see people ‘happier’ per se, but rather to awaken a greater sense of aliveness and presence to the full spectrum of emotions and sensations that make up the human experience”
